Sandy's second solo album for Island Records was recorded over a leisurely six-month period between November 1971 and May 1972 in the comfortable surroundings of Sound Techniques studio, with John Wood engineering and Trevor Lucas in the producer's chair.
The resulting album is, arguably, the finest of her short career. One of Britain's most distinctive and memorable female singers, Sandy Denny possessed a heartbreakingly beautiful voice. 'Sandy' is undoubtedly one of the highlights of her recording career.
Sandy's second solo album from 1972 has been digitally re-mastered with 5 bonus tracks and sleevenotes.
