Jonathan Jeremiah, whose timeless songs and soulful voice place him firmly in the tradition of classic Island artists like Nick Drake and John Martyn, and mark him out as a songwriter with a rare talent, releases his new single “Happiness” on March 21st. Written and produced by Jeremiah, “Happiness” is taken from the 28 year old Londoner’s debut album “A Solitary Man” which is to be released on the same date.
He recently appeared on Later With Jools a full five months ahead of the album release giving a stunning solo acoustic performance of one of the album’s many standouts “How Half-Heartedly We Behave”. He has also just completed a month long residency at the Borderline following his recent special guest appearance with Rumer at the Bloomsbury Theatre.
Jonathan has also been confirmed to play HMV’s Next Big Thing alongside The Pierces + Liam Bailey at the Jazz Café on Tuesday, 8th February and you can also catch him on 3 upcoming Radio 2 sessions : Jan 20th – Janice Long, Feb 3rd – Jo Whiley and a Radcliffe and Maconie session on Feb 16th.
