6 cities, 3 bands, thousands of fans, a whole load of vintage railroad carts, and many, many miles covered; Mumford & Sons' 2011 Railroad Revival Tour really was something very special indeed. And now, just over a year since the tour took place, those who couldn't make it in person can experience the ride too with today's release of the official documentary.
Big Easy Express was directed by Emmett Malloy (The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights) and consists of footage shot aboard the train, parking lot performances, interviews with participating bands, musicians and fans as well as some truly stunning cinematography of the American landscape. It's already been screened at numerous film festivals and even won the SXSW Audience Award when it was premiered there back in March.
